Jim Burns was appointed president of Ceridian Canada in 2003 and was named interim president of Ceridian's Comdata subsidiary on May 14 2007. Jim came to Canada from London England where he was the company's European chief financial officer for five years. In addition to his responsibilities for the Canadian operations of Ceridian Jim is also responsible for overseeing the company's UK-based International operations. He plays a central role in driving Ceridian's global vision to "change the world of work" and is very active in the company's international growth.
Jim brings a wealth of knowledge insight and experience to his position including more than 30 years of international business experience in the retail manufacturing and service sectors. Prior to joining Ceridian in 1998 Jim was the group chief financial officer for PCL plc where he successfully led the company through a busy and challenging merger and acquisition period.
Born in Scotland Jim studied Accountancy Law and Economics at Glasgow University and became a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland in 1972. |
