Jim Wickham is a founding member of Lender Ltd. and is currently the Chairman and CEO of Lender Ltd. He oversees all aspects of Secondary Marketing, Technology, and Accounting as well as the long-term strategic business plan. Jim has been in the Mortgage Industry since 1990. He has experience in all aspects of the mortgage industry; he started his career at Republic Bancorp Mortgage, Inc in the Secondary Marketing Department. In the years since leaving Republic he has been a closer, processor, underwriter, and an originator. Jim’s primary focus has always been utilizing technology to improve upon the efficiencies involved in the daily routines affecting all areas of our industry.
From 2000 - 2003 Jim sat on the Board for Mainstreet Bancorp as it went through the paces to open a denovo bank in Southeast Michigan. The plan was executed and the Bank opened in the Spring of 2004.
From 2001 -2004 Jim operated a computer consulting company along with his partner Craig Olmsted known as Efficiency Experts. Efficiency Experts had offices in Florida and Michigan and served as an outsourced IT department with a focus on the mortgage industry. The business was sold at the end of 2004 to its Executive Vice President and to this day provides IT support to Lender Ltd. and it’s other core clients.
Jim has been active with the Michigan Mortgage Lenders since 1996 serving and/or chairing a committee from 1996 -2004. Jim was elected by the membership to the Board of Governors for the Southeast Chapter of the Michigan Mortgage Lenders Association from 2002 - 2004.
Jim achieved his Certified Mortgage Banker designation in 2002, one of 10 CMB’s in Michigan at the time of commencement. He started his career in the military serving in the Military Intelligence sector of the United States Navy as an analyst. Jim served on the USS Enterprise as well as the Fleet Intelligence Center for Europe and the Atlantic. Hobbies include music, writing, golf, boating, coaching Novi Youth Soccer, and spending time with his family (Lisa - wife since 92, Kyle born in 94, Kaitlin born in 97, and Kelsey born in 00). |
