Mr. Derryberry is a Managing Director of Riverstone.
Prior to joining Riverstone, Mr. Derryberry was a Managing Director of J.P. Morgan and head of the firm’s Natural Resources and Power Group. At J.P. Morgan, he directed the group’s strategy, profitability and personnel. In addition, Mr. Derryberry led a number of significant M&A transactions, such as the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s merger of its U.S. refining and marketing operations with those of Shell Oil and Texaco in 1998.
Before joining J.P. Morgan, Mr. Derryberry was a Vice President in the Goldman Sachs Global Energy & Power Group with responsibility for M&A transactions, capital markets financings and managing relationships with many major energy companies, including British Petroleum and Atlantic Richfield Company.
Mr. Derryberry serves on the Board of Directors of Magellan, is a member of the Board of Overseers for the Hoover Institution at Stanford University and is a member of the Engineering Foundation Advisory Council at the University of Texas. Mr. Derryberry received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and received his M.B.A. from Stanford University. |
