Jialin "Chuck" Zhong, Ph.D. joined Kenyon & Kenyon as a summer associate in 2006 and returned to the firm as an associate in 2007. He focuses his practice on patent prosecution in computer, electrical and mechanical arts.
Dr. Zhong brings to Kenyon & Kenyon extensive technical and business experience formerly gained at premier technology and start-up companies. As a member of technical staff at Bell-Labs Research and as a scientist at Avaya Labs, he conducted research and development in video, audio, speech, and user interface for computer and telecommunication applications. Later at a start-up company, as a principal investigator, he initiated and managed several Department of Defense Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) projects relating to using infra-red sensors to detect human emotion and intent. In addition to broad publications in technical journals and conferences, Dr. Zhong is an inventor of two U.S. patents and several patent applications.
During law school, Dr. Zhong interned and worked part-time at an intellectual property asset management company with responsibility of patent portfolio due diligence for licensing. |
