Jessie A. Gilbert is a principal in the Private Clients Group. Jessie focuses her practice on estate planning, estate and probate administration, and family business law, including business succession. She is admitted to practice in Connecticut and New York. Jessie graduated from Hamilton College and received her law degree from Case Western Reserve University. She holds a Master of Laws (in Taxation) from New York University. Jessie has also served as a law clerk at the United States Tax Court in Washington, D.C. Jessie is a frequent writer and lecturer on estate planning and administration topics, including family limited partnerships, fiduciary income tax, and the Principal and Income Act. Jessie co-authored an article in the Connecticut Law Tribune on estate planning for owners of intellectual property that was selected by the Legal Times for national publication. Most recently, she co-authored an article about the Connecticut Uniform Prudent Investor Act and the Connecticut Principal and Income Act, which was published in the Quinnipiac Probate Law Journal. Jessie is a member of the Connecticut and New York Bar Associations and a board member of the Estate Planning Council of Lower Fairfield County. She is also a member of the Executive Committee of the CBA’s Estates and Probate Section. |
