Dr. Jess Boyer is a Senior Consultant with PivotHealth, LLC, a physician practice management company based in Brentwood, Tennessee. Dr. Boyer has more than 20 years of medical management experience, including eight years in which he has held either Chief Executive Officer or Chief Medical Officer positions in both the for-profit and not-for-profit healthcare sectors. In his role at PivotHealth, Dr. Boyer provides medical leadership to address physician and organizational performance that will improve quality, service, financial performance, and teamwork. He brings extensive experience in working with physicians to change behaviors in order to benefit the larger medical organization.
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE Served as a consultant for medical groups, IPAs, hospital systems and HMOs, where he has achieved significant results by focusing on medical management and clinical improvements. Developed (or significantly retooled) and implemented innovative medical management and case management programs that have saved medical groups and hospital systems millions of dollars and enhanced quality of care. Managed medical office operations, finance, strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, sales and marketing. Organized and led education and training programs for physician managers and healthcare executives on topics including, general management and leadership skills, teamwork, quality improvement and principles of managed healthcare.
