Mr. Wayne is a Sales and Marketing professional with twenty-five years experience in the hotel, convention, and resort operations. Mr. Wayne has a proven track record of increasing occupancy and revenue by creating a world-class sales team and implementing sound market strategies. He also developed brand and marketing plans for meeting, exhibition, attractions and tourism destinations. Mr. Wayne is proficient in budgeting and financing in both corporate and non-profit organizations. He is actively involved in travel, meetings and exhibition industry through volunteer national and international organizations.
Mr. Wayne currently is Vice President of Sales & Marketing at the palatial Greenbrier Hotel, a AAA 5 Diamond Resort in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia.
Previously, Mr. Wayne is the Executive Director of Sales and Marketing with Galt House Hotel and Suites, Executive Inn Hotel and Executive West Hotel, Louisville, KY. In that role he is responsible for all of the sales and marketing efforts of Louisville's three largest hotels.
From 1981-2000 Mr. Wayne acted as Senior Vice President of Marketing, Sales, Hospitality and Attractions with the Opryland Hotel in Nashville, TN. With Opryland, he was also responsible for overseeing sales offices in Washington, D.C., New York, Chicago, Orlando and Dallas.
Mr. Wayne has been a member of numerous boards and committees throughout his profession. He was also a 3 time Honoree for the Meeting News Magazine as one of the 25 Most Influential People.
