Mr. Jerry Reitman has had an impressive career in the Marketing and Advertising industries, including fourteen years at the Leo Burnett Company, where he retired in 1998 as Executive Vice President. Jerry Reitman joined the Leo Burnett Company in 1985 to head direct marketing worldwide. In December 1990, his duties were expanded to Director of Integrated Communications worldwide. Mr. Reitman advised many of the leading Consumer Packaged Goods companies in the world including Kraft, Philip Morris and United Airlines. Jerry Reitman was the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Scali, McCabe, Sloves Direct. Before forming that unit of Ogilvy & Mather, Mr. Reitman was the Executive Vice President, International for Ogilvy & Mather Direct, where he developed its international agency network to some 35 countries. Mr. Reitman has lectured on marketing, creativity and other advertising issues in 47 countries. He was one of the keynote speakers at the first Third-World Advertising Congress in Beijing and most recently was the keynote speaker at the European Direct Marketing Conference in Brussels. His writings have appeared in Advertising Age, Direct Marketing Magazine, Direct Magazine, DM News and numerous other publications. He has appeared on NBC and the Super Channel in Europe discussing the changing advertising landscape. Mr. Reitman has served as an outside director for a number of public and private companies, including CameraWorld.com, Eagle Supermarkets, Cadmus Communications, Car Parts Technologies, Zeocast and was a director of FastWeb.com before its purchase by Monster.com. Mr. Reitman has also served a variety of industry and charitable interests. He is a past member of the Board of Trustees and the Executive Committee of the Direct Marketing Educational Foundation, and he served as the President of the Direct Marketing Club of New York. Additionally, Mr. Reitman is the Vice Chairman of Children's Memorial Hospital Foundation Board; and is a Board Member and immediate Past-Chairman of Children's Miracle Network (CMN) a North American charity which raises funds for 171 Children's hospitals in the US and Canada and has raised over $1 billion for the care of children. Mr. Reitman was selected as Direct Marketer of the Year in 1999. Mr. Reitman is an honors graduate of Pennsylvania State University, with a degree in finance, and has done graduate work in motivational psychology. |
