Mr. Beers earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brown University and a Masters in Management degree from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Mr. Beers brings to the firm a network of contacts from his 35 years of diverse operational experience in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries, including large and small companies, across a broad range of therapeutic areas.

He has held senior executive level positions and served as a Corporate Officer at Genentech, Inc. (General Manager, Genentech Canada, Inc., Vice President, Marketing), Aradigm Corporation (Executive Vice President, Marketing and Business Development) and Questcor Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Member, Office of the President and Vice President, Sales & Marketing).

Mr. Beers also held a wide range of positions at DuPont Pharmaceuticals, Inc., American Hospital Supply Corporation and G.D.Searle & Co. prior to moving to California in 1989.
