With almost 40 years of experience in industry, the military, and as an attorney, Mr. Brust has extensive, hands-on experience in all phases of human resource management, human resource consulting, and industrial relations. He has particular expertise and experience in serving as chief strategist and chief spokesman for both national and local labor contract negotiations, with both independent and international labor unions. Mr. Brust has also represented management in over 200 labor arbitrations. Mr. Brust assists clients by taking an active or a consulting role in: establishing a climate that avoids the need for a union; developing a relationship with a new or existing union; developing a strategy for labor contract negotiations; negotiating an initial or successive labor contract; effective administration of a labor contract; resolving labor grievances; and representing management in labor arbitration. Mr. Brust also represents clients during OSHA investigations and OSHA complaint procedures. Mr. Brust, a graduate of the University of Oklahoma (B.A., 1963; J.D., with honors, 2000), joined Crowe & Dunlevy Of Counsel in 2001. Mr. Brust is retired from Caterpillar Inc. where, among other assignments during his 31-year career, he was the corporate director of human resources and the corporate director of labor relations. From 2000 to 2002, he served as an adjunct professor at the University of Oklahoma teaching undergraduate and graduate-level courses in Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations. Mr. Brust practices exclusively in labor and employment law. He is a member of the Oklahoma and American Bar Associations. |
