Jerry Morey, Metagenics' Chief Financial Officer, is a certified public accountant with more than 21 years of experience in corporate finance and accounting. He has been instrumental in streamlining the financial and management information systems for Metagenics.
Prior to joining Metagenics in 1996, Mr. Morey served as Chief Financial Officer of Surewood Forest Products (SFP), a company he helped manage and grow from $50 thousand to $50 million in annual net sales over a five-year period. During his tenure as CFO of SFP, Mr. Morey was responsible for finance and accounting, and oversaw the operations of the company. He managed the acquisition of a 180-thousand-square-foot manufacturing plant and developed all the systems for operations, MIS, controls, general accounting and cost accounting for the firm. Mr. Morey also worked for Lesley, Thomas, Schwarz & Postma, one of the largest public accounting firms in Orange County, where he gained valuable experience in mergers and acquisitions and consulted with over 200 corporations in finance and accounting-related issues.
Mr. Morey is a graduate of California State University, Fullerton where he earned his bachelor's degree in business administration with an emphasis in accounting. |
