Jeronimo Garcia C. has been Informatics Manager of the Central Bank of Chile since June 2004.
He graduated in civil engineering at the Catholic University and has wide experience in banking.
Before joining the Central Bank, he was Informatics Manager at the BICE bank in charge of some branches and Bicecorp (September 1997- May 2004).
Mr. García previously worked for the Banco de Santiago as head of the Systems Development Area (September 1993-December 1994), director of the Branch Automization Project (December 1994-January 1997) and, following the merger with Banco O’Higgins, he became Manager of Informatics Services (January 1997-September 1997).
From May 1984 to September 1993, Mr. García worked for Banco Concepción as head of Projects, Operations under-manager and Systems Development under-manager, During this time he did some consulting work, analysing and advising on information systems and operating processes, for banks in Russia and Poland. He also took part in a series of technological seminars and talks in the United States. |
