Jerome A. Kollar is a senior finance and accounting executive with particular emphasis in the retail and manufacturing industry. Jerry is uniquely skilled in financial and accounting management, financial forecasting and planning, risk management, distribution and logistics, mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations, strategic planning, SEC reporting, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and debt financings and placements. Over a professional career spanning 20 years, Jerry has held senior financial positions for both publicly- and privately-owned companies in the retail and manufacturing sectors. Recently, Jerry served as the Senior Vice President of Finance and Controller for FAO, Inc., a specialty retailer operating under the FAO Schwarz®, The Right Start® and Zany Brainy® brands. During his tenure, he led the divestiture of two operating subsidiaries, and consolidated the accounting, finance, human resource and information technology departments, resulting in savings of over $3 million annually. Jerry also served as the Company’s acting Chief Financial Officer and Liquidation Trustee once they filed two voluntary petitions for relief under Chapter 11. In another recent role, Jerry served as Vice President and Treasurer of Kash n’ Karry Food Stores, Inc., a regional grocery retailer. Jerry played an instrumental role in the company’s strategic reorganization by rapidly exiting the Company from its pre-packaged Chapter 11 bankruptcy and guiding it back to profitability. Strategically, debt was reduced by one-third with cash interest savings of $15 million annually, creating a financially strong and profitable company. Jerry holds an MBA in Finance from the University of South Florida and his BS in Industrial Management and Finance from Carnegie-Mellon University. |
