With 37 years of Alternative Investments experience on both the buy-side and the sell-side, Jerry Greene is widely recognized for having initiated the formalization of the placement process to qualified institutional investors, the core of which remains the industry norm. With Salomon Brothers (now Citibank) from 1972 to 1980, Jerry ran its Private Placement Group and Merrill Lynch’s Private Equity Group from 1980 through 1990. In 1990 he co-founded Benedetto, Gartland & Greene, a firm specializing in the placement of Alternative Investments. In 1997 he founded JP Greene & Associates, a firm devoted to the placement of Alternative Investment funds. Notable clients during his career include: Warburg Pincus, Tom Lee, Leonard Green, Charterhouse, Freeman & Spogli, Asia Pacific Growth, Alliance Capital and Bridgepoint Capital. |
