Jerold C. Lambert, Vice President and Associate General Counsel
Jerold Lambert brings to the Bresnan management team more than 18 years of experience in the telephony and cable television regulatory arenas. In his role at Bresnan, his work is focused primarily on the Company’s advanced services product offerings including digital telephone service. Jerry is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance at all levels of federal, state, and local government. He also provides advice and counsel on relevant operating policies. As Vice President and Associate General Counsel, Jerry represents Bresnan before all regulatory agencies, legislative bodies, and industry organizations and when needed engages to assist with local cable TV franchise matters, programming contracts, intellectual property matters, and commercial services contracts.
Prior to joining Bresnan Communications, Jerry served as Vice President and Senior Counsel at Charter Communications and Vice President Organizational Development and Compliance at Prime Cable, where he had oversight of all regulatory issues pertaining to cable rates, programming contracts, cable and telecommunications franchising, and telephony service offerings for these multi-state operators. He was also accountable for all legal and regulatory compliance matters. Jerry also represented the Companies’ telephone divisions at administrative proceedings at all levels of government. In addition to those duties, while at Prime, Jerry had policy oversight for the human resources group.
Before making his transition to private industry, Jerry worked in the public sector, serving the Texas cities of Houston, and then, Austin. For the former, he served as Public Service Manager, administering franchises, monitoring electric and telecommunications rate hearings, and providing counsel on various statutory interpretations and city ordinances. While serving Austin as Director, Cable and Regulatory Affairs, Jerry negotiated and drafted franchise agreements with various utilities, enforced franchise provisions against all holders, and administered the contract providing for the management of public access television resources as required by the City’s cable television franchise agreement.
Mr. Lambert, a member of the Texas Bar Association, holds a Juris Doctorate and a B.S. in Petroleum Land Management, both of which he earned at the University of Houston. |
