Jeremy T. Elman is an associate in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery based in the Firm's Miami office. Jeremy previously practiced in the Firm's Silicon Valley office. Jeremy is a member of the Intellectual Property, Media & Technology Department where he focuses his practice on intellectual property disputes and complex commercial litigation.
Jeremy has significant experience representing global technology companies in patent, trade secret, copyright and trademark disputes, including a diverse array of consumer products such as slot machines, MP3s, commercial ovens, wireless phones, computer software and peripherals, semiconductors and digital video recorders. Jeremy also has expertise in using technological tools to manage complex litigation and regularly speaks on the application of these techniques.
Jeremy has also written extensively on intellectual property issues and was the Senior Editor of the American University Law Review, Federal Circuit edition.
Jeremy was awarded the State Bar of California's Wiley W. Manuel Award in 2004 for his pro bono work and spoke at the 2007 Florida Bar induction ceremony after receiving the highest score on the February 2007 bar exam.
Jeremy is a member of the State Bar of California and the Florida Bar. He is also admitted to practice in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, all federal District Courts of California, and the Southern District of Florida.
