As Vice President of Operations for Fleming Pharmaceuticals, Jennifer Thaxton supervises materials management, manufacturing, facility maintenance, and shipping and receiving. She also collaborates with the company's sales and marketing departments in the development and manufacturing of new products.
Ms. Thaxton offers Fleming more than 15 years' experience in the medical device and pharmaceutical industries, with direct experience in inventory control, purchasing, forecasting, and planning and scheduling. Before joining Fleming, Ms. Thaxton served as operations manager at Sanofi Pharmaceuticals and as quality assurance manager at Sherwood Medical Company.
Whether she is troubleshooting a manufacturing line issue, moving a skid of product or mentoring her employees, Ms. Thaxton can be found interacting in all areas of the organization. "Fleming is small enough to let me be involved in all dimensions of the company, which allows for professional as well as personal growth," she says. "I also enjoy teaching others what I've learned throughout my career. It is very rewarding to see personal growth and development in my employees."
Ms. Thaxton holds a master's degree in business administration and a bachelor's in chemistry from St. Louis University. Spending time with her children is her top priority when she's not at work. Ms. Thaxton also enjoys fishing, home repair and decorating, listening to music and reading.
