Jennifer Ratay joined the Hewlett Foundation in January 2007 as Associate Program Officer for Philanthropy. Her focus spans grantmaking to strengthen the field of philanthropy, managing the organizational effectiveness grants program, and supporting foundation-wide planning and evaluation activities.
Prior to joining the Hewlett Foundation, Ms. Ratay spent five years working at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business. At Stanford, she served as an MBA admissions officer and subsequently as the Associate Director of the Center for Social Innovation’s Public Management Program, a program that educates socially-minded business leaders.
Ms. Ratay has served in a number of nonprofit, public, and international organizations such as The Pew Charitable Trusts, National Wildlife Federation, Worldwatch Institute, U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD). In addition, she served as a consultant to the Aspen Institute's Roundtable on Comprehensive Community Initiatives and as a Capitol Hill legislative aide managing U.S. Representative Marty Meehan’s energy, environment, foreign affairs, trade, and transportation policy work.
A Phi Beta Kappa graduate from Dartmouth College, Ms. Ratay holds a B.A. in government with a minor in environmental studies and an M.P.A. specializing in international development from Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School. |
