Jennifer L. Gmitro earned her undergraduate degree in English at Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania in 1998. She received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of San Diego School of Law in 2006, having served on the San Diego International Law Journal. While at the University of San Diego, Ms. Gmitro competed with distinction in several Moot Court and Negotiation competitions and was inducted into the Order of Barristers. She argued in the 2005 International Round of the Jessup International Moot Court competition in Washington, D.C., placing 20th of 400 advocates.
Prior to joining Coughlin Stoia, she interned for the Judge Advocate General of the U.S. Army in Heidelberg, Germany, and for the Civil Division of the U.S. Attorney's Office in San Diego. Prior to law school, she taught English at a university in Thailand.
Ms. Gmitro's practice focuses on complex securities litigation. She is admitted to the State Bar of California and is licensed to practice in all California state courts as well as the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California.
