Jen focuses her practice in the areas of public law and finance, concentrating her practice primarily on port authorities. She has represented port authorities on an array of issues ranging from real estate acquisition to state regulatory compliance issues. Jen has served as bond and issuer’s counsel to port authorities and other political subdivisions in a variety of development finance transactions including special assessment and tax increment financing, 501(c)(3) bonds, school financing as well as conventional conduit lending. In addition to her public law and finance practice, Jen has provided advice to both public and private clients, and has been lead counsel on, several large real estate development projects involving commercial, residential (both single family and multi-housing) and mixed-use property. Jen is experienced in providing counsel on all aspects of real estate financing, including choice of entity, structuring the financing acquisitions, zoning and re-zoning, development plans, leasing and divestiture. Jen is a member of the American, Ohio and Cleveland Bar Associations and the National Association of Bond Lawyers. She is also an active member of Commercial Real Estate Women of Cleveland (CREW's Cleveland Chapter). Jen previously practiced law with Climaco, Lefkowitz, Peca, Wilcox & Garofoli, focusing on public and private finance, real estate, corporate and securities law. She joined Calfee in 2007. |
