Professional Summary
Jennifer L. Marlborough participates in all aspects and stages of civil litigation, including conducting and participating in trials, oral arguments, and conferences in federal and state trial and appellate courts. She also researches and drafts numerous legal memoranda and briefs for federal and state trial and appellate actions, and has presented oral argument to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. She also participates in filings and appearances in court mediations as well as arbitrations before the International Chamber of Commerce and the American Arbitration Association.
Ms. Marlborough also practices in the Corporate and Commercial group. She drafts and negotiates agreements for the purchase and sale of private and public companies, as well as makes the required federal government filings in connection with the transactions. In addition, she counsels clients on forming corporations or limited liability companies.
As part of the Alcohol Beverage Control group, Ms. Marlborough counsels clients on obtaining alcoholic beverage licenses, permits, and other applications submitted to the State Liquor Authority, as well as advising them regarding compliance with the Alcohol Beverage Control Law.
Ms. Marlborough volunteers as an Arbitrator for the Civil Court of the City of New York, Small Claims Part, and decides cases that are not determined by the Civil Court Judge.
