Jennifer Filippazzo is an associate in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP based in the Firm’s New York office. As a member of the Trial Department, Jennifer focuses her practice on general business litigation, toxic exposure cases, product liability and mass tort litigation.
Jennifer is a regional coordinator on a national counsel team representing a major corporate client in their asbestos litigation. Jennifer oversees the docket of claims filed in the Northeast region of the United States, serving as manager and liaison for dozens of local counsel in all aspects of the litigation process including discovery, litigation strategy, settlement negotiations and trial preparation. Jennifer also actively participates in the litigation of claims filed in New York, many of these claims involved wrongful death claims with significant medical and scientific issues relating to pulmonology, epidemiology, pathology, and industrial hygiene. Jennifer has developed an area of specialty in the defense of Fortune 500 companies and other corporate entities involved in the asbestos litigation.
Jennifer brings to McDermott unique experience and perspective to the the practice of mass tort litigation and product liability. A Bachelor's Degree in Biology and a Masters in Public Health, allows Jennifer to serve as a resource in medical and scientific issues relating to epidemiology, pulmonology, pathology and occupational health.
Jennifer is admitted to practice in Connecticut and New York, and before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. Jennifer is a member of the New York State Bar Association, New York State Women’s Bar Association and American Bar Association.
