Jennifer Brandeen comes to Signal Hill after serving as a Vice President in Deutsche Bank’s Global Media Investment Banking Group. Ms. Brandeen spent five years at Deutsche Bank and completed over 35 equity, debt and convertible transactions, raising more than $16 billion for media clients, including primary and secondary equity offerings, high yield, secured debt and convertible offerings. Ms. Brandeen also advised media clients on a variety of strategic and M&A opportunities. Notable clients include: EchoStar Communications, DIRECTV, Clear Channel Communications, Entercom Communications, Citadel Communications, Radio One, Emmis Communications, Sinclair Broadcast Group and Spanish Broadcasting.At Deutsche Bank, Ms. Brandeen was involved in the attempted $28.6 billion consolidation of the Direct Broadcast Satellite (DBS) industry between EchoStar and DIRECTV. The attempted merger resulted in recapitalizations of both companies, which included a $3.1 billion debt recapitalization ($1.7 billion credit facility and $1.4 billion high yield notes) for DIRECTV and a $4.8 billion debt / equity recapitalization of EchoStar ($2.6 billion bridge loan, $700 million high yield notes and $1.5 billion private equity investment). Additional notable debt recapitalization experience in the media industry includes: $1.1 billion for Sinclair Broadcast Group and $1.4 billion for Emmis Communications. Prior to joining Deutsche Bank, Ms. Brandeen served in various strategic, marketing and management roles at the Walt Disney Company, Georgetown University and Kaplan Education Center. Ms. Brandeen graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in Business and Communications from the S.I. Newhouse School at Syracuse University and an MBA with honors from Georgetown University. |
