Jenni Dunlap practices primarily in the area of employment litigation and regularly advises and represents management clients in the following areas:
EEOC proceedings and litigation involving race, sex, national origin, age and disability discrimination claims
Harassment and hostile work environment claims under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964
Implementation of reductions in force
Wrongful discharge, retaliation, breach of contract, infliction of emotional distress and other claims arising out of the employment relationship
Supervisor, management and human resources training
Specific personnel actions such as hiring, evaluations, discipline and terminations
Preparation and revision of employee handbooks and employment policies
Drafting and review of employment agreements, restrictive covenants and confidentiality agreements
Litigation and advice under the Fair Labor Standards Act and state wage and hour statues
Coordination of electronic data retention and production
Defends and prosecutes trade secret and restrictive covenant cases
Ms. Dunlap has participated in the defense of management in class action lawsuits involving federal and state wage and hour laws and Title VII. While at Vanderbilt University, she was a managing editor of the Vanderbilt Law Review.
