Jennifer Silverman is a partner in Pryor Cashman's Intellectual Property and Information Technology Practice Group. She assists clients in innovative businesses in the new media, technology, retail, manufacturing, e-commerce, marketing, advertising and fashion industries.
Jennifer’s clients are companies whose intellectual property is the most valuable asset of their businesses. She counsels these clients on strategies for implementing their business ideas in ways that foster growth yet minimize legal risk.
Jennifer’s representative matters include:
Drafting agreements to secure a company's ownership of photos, audio and video for distribution over mobile telephones
Counseling a client on obtaining rights to re-publish works of fiction and market them through direct mail
Negotiating and drafting licensing agreements enabling fashion designers to expand their product lines
Counseling clients on the use of trademarks and copyrighted works of others for web based software applications
Drafting agreements for the development and operation of web-based businesses
Defending litigations relating to the rights of clients to use and register their trademarks in the U.S.
Jennifer has an AV® Peer Review Rating in the legal directory Martindale Hubbell indicating that she attained the highest peer recognition rating for ethical standards and legal ability.
She is a 1996 graduate of Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center, where she served as Managing Editor and Associate Editor for the Law Review.
