Jennifer McFarlane is CEO of The Women’s Technology Cluster. She has expertise across diverse fields of technology, including high technology, biotech, and clean technology. She has raised over $300 million for technology-based companies, both as an investment banker and as a corporate executive. Previously, Jennifer was Deputy Chair of Trans Pacific Petroleum, an Australian holding company. Before that, she was an Executive Director of Southern Pacific Petroleum NL, a public Australian energy technology company, where she was part of a leadership team that took the company through a major growth phase, with responsibility for strategy and financing. Prior to SPP, she was a Principal of CROSS BORDER ENTERPRISES, L.L.C., a Director of Barents Group LLC, a subsidiary of KPMG, leading teams advising numerous Governments on privatization, and a Vice President in Investment Banking at Salomon Brothers Inc. in New York. Ms. McFarlane is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and was a member of the Young Presidents Organization of Australia from 2000-2004. In 2003, she was awarded the Centenary Medal by the Prime Minister of Australia for her contribution to business. Ms. McFarlane received her MBA from Stanford University and both an LLB and a B.Sc. in Biochemistry from the University of New South Wales, Sydney. |
