Experience: Jeff has been in public accounting since 1981. He has extensive knowledge and experience with government and commercial construction, services and other related contractors. Jeff regularly assists clients with matters involving finance, claims, bonding, overhead rate structures, indirect cost issues, contract termination settlements, and compliance with Federal and State contracting regulations. His specific areas of concentration include long range planning, financial statement and tax return preparation, regulatory compliance, claim preparation, and other support services related to contracting issues. Industry Specific Courses Completed , Formation of Government Contracts, Applying the Federal Acquisition Regulations Cost Principles, Recovering Overhead in Government Contracts, Cost Accounting Standards, Audits in Government Contracting, Negotiations in Government Contracts, Administration of Government Contracts, Government Contract Law Cost and Price Analysis Other Activities:Jeff serves as Treasurer and on the Board of Directors for the Hampton Roads Utility and Heavy Contractor Association, and is a previous recipient of their Non-Contractor of the Year award. He is also a member of the National Contract Management Association (NCMA), the Tidewater Association of Service Contractors (TASC), and the Associated General Contractors (AGC). Jeff is currently a Specialized Industries Resource Group Leader for the Virginia Society of CPA’s. His role is to provide resource tools to the construction industry for systems controls, accounting information, technology, tax and continuing education resources. Included is coordination with regard to issues specific to VDOT such as, assisting with prequalification applications, C-37 forms, agreed-upon procedures, and other related matters. |
