Professor Sklar is currently Professor of Pathology at Yale Medical School. Prior to this, he was a Professor at Harvard Medical School, and additionally was Director of the Divisions of Molecular Oncology and Diagnostic Molecular Biology at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. Sklar has published over 140 papers on fundamental and applied aspects of molecular diagnostics and molecular oncology, and co-authored the authoritative text "The Lymphomas." Sklar is a highly distinguished expert in the area of biochemical and molecular mechanisms of disease (particular cancers), and has published on and patented technologies for molecular disease diagnosis. Sklar has also served on the Board of Directors and Scientific Advisory Board of various organizations, including the Board of Directors of Dianon Systems and Transgenomic, and the Scientific Advisory Board of BioMerieux, Genome Therapeutics and HTS Biosystems. |
