Jeffrey L. Kuhn is a shareholder in the Fresno office. He specializes in land use and CEQA, public finance, real property acquisitions, and business transactions for municipalities and school and community college districts throughout California. Mr. Kuhn?s career spans some 25 years, including extensive experience representing municipalities, the State of California, and the federal government. Prior to joining Lozano Smith, Mr. Kuhn served for 6 ½ years as a Deputy County Counsel in Fresno and then 12 years as County Counsel in Madera County. He has represented the Fresno Council of Governments, the Fresno County Transportation Authority, and the Madera County Transportation Authority.
Mr. Kuhn's experience with construction projects includes work on water and waste water treatment facilities, community water systems, roads and bridges, a fire station, and a variety of modernization and new construction projects for K-12 and community college districts. Mr. Kuhn has defended bid protests and was trial and appellate counsel for the County of Fresno in the case of Menefee v. County of Fresno (1985) 163 Cal.App.3d 1175, 210 Cal.Rptr. 99, a leading case on public agencies' ability to waive bid defects.
Mr. Kuhn received his J.D. with honors from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 1979, and his B.A. in 1975 from California State University, Sacramento. |
