Jeffrey Foland is United's senior vice president of Worldwide Sales. He is based at the company’s headquarters in Chicago.
Named to the position in September 2006, he is responsible for all worldwide sales activities. This division manages all corporate and travel agency relationships worldwide to drive premium revenue to United.
Prior to assuming his current position, Foland was vice president of North America Sales, where he was responsible for leading the North America Sales organization and overseeing United’s sales transformation strategy.
Before joining United in January 2005, Foland served as a principal at ZS Associates, a global sales and marketing consulting firm. He was responsible for consulting with sales organizations in more than a dozen industries and led large-scale sales and marketing transformation initiatives.
Before his tenure at ZS Associates, he held positions in the automotive and aerospace industries. He has been a guest lecturer on sales organization topics at both the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. Foland also has contributed to several books on sales force performance and design.
He serves as an executive committee member and board member of the Chicago Convention and Tourism Bureau and a board member of the Allied Leadership Council of the National Business Travel Association.
Foland holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Purdue University and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Michigan. |
