As the director of tax services, Jeff heads up all aspects of income and estate tax ramifications for various consulting projects, including business transition planning. In addition, he is in charge of audit representation before the Internal Revenue Service and other tax authorities for Caras and Shulman's tax clients. He is also responsible for staff development and training, as well as the development and maintenance of internal quality-control policies at Caras and Shulman. Jeff serves as managing editor of Common Scripts, a newsletter published by Caras and Shulman, designed to keep clients and prospects current on the latest tax and business developments through a wide range of industries. In addition, Jeff has published articles appearing in Lawyers Weekly and DentalTown magazine. Jeff is a graduate of Bentley College and the State University of New York at Binghamton, and is a licensed certified public accountant.
