Jeff Cox is a shareholder and director with the firm. His primary areas of practice are in the fields of business and estate planning - working with clients setting up new companies, buying or selling businesses, transferring ownership of family businesses to their successors; and working with clients in establishing and coordinating their wills, trusts, living wills and powers of attorney. A well respected legal advisor, Jeff serves as counsel to numerous individuals and businesses, advising them in a broad range of business and estate law issues. He is also general counsel for one of Waco's most esteemed community banks and its trust department, as well as advising and representing numerous other banks and financial institutions. In the course of his practice, Jeff has represented numerous clients in connection with creditors' rights, loan documentation, loan workouts and complex bankruptcy cases.
Jeff is actively involved in the Waco community, where he presently serves as a deacon and chairman of the Finance Committee of his church, and is the immediate Past President of the Historic Waco Foundation.
Jeff and his wife, Julie, have been married since 1984, and have two children. In his spare time, Jeff enjoys tennis, skiing and coaching soccer.
