Jeff Killeen is chairman and chief executive officer of GlobalSpec Inc., Troy, N.Y., a leading vertical search, information services and e-media company serving the engineering, manufacturing and related scientific and technical markets.
He joined the drugstore.com board of directors in August 2006, and brings to the board more than 25 years of executive management experience within the media, Internet, retail e-commerce and information services industries.
Before becoming CEO of GlobalSpec in 2002, Killeen was CEO of Forbes.com, where he led the development of Forbes' portfolio of online financial information and electronic publishing businesses. Prior to Forbes.com, he served as chief operating officer of Barnes & Noble.com and helped grow that organization from a startup to one of the world's largest consumer e-commerce companies. Killeen also was CEO of SBC/Pacific Bell's electronic media and Internet group, and was a senior vice president in Dun & Bradstreet's marketing information and Reuben H. Donnelley yellow pages businesses.
In addition to GlobalSpec and drugstore.com, he also serves on the Boards of SkyTerra Corp., The Center for Disability Services, The Lake George Opera Company and The Fund for Lake George.
