Jeff Wright leverages an extensive financial background to lead G&K Services' finance, accounting, treasury, internal audit, investor relations, and risk management functions. He also leads the company's information technology organization. He works closely with all G&K business units, to help assess operational needs and implement information systems and technology assets to drive the company's long- and short-term strategic plans. Jeff's specialized expertise includes managing the intricacies of publicly held companies, and he also has great depth of experience securing debt and equity financing. In addition, Jeff utilized his broad business background and operations expertise to lead G&K's Cleanroom from 2004 to 2007. Since joining G&K in 1999, he has played a lead role in negotiating acquisitions within the company's aggressive merger and acquisition strategy.
Before joining G&K, Jeff was controller and treasurer for industrial manufacturer BMC Industries. He also served as vice president and treasurer for Employee Benefit Plans Inc., a Minneapolis-based health care insurance firm. Finally, at the beginning of his career he spent nine years as a member of the audit and business advisory unit in the Minneapolis offices of Arthur Andersen LLP.
Jeff serves on the board of directors of the Uniform and Textile Service Association (UTSA) and is the chairperson for its investment subcommittee. He is also a finance committee member of the Greater Twin Cities United Way. In addition, Jeff is a member of the Financial Executives Institute, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants. He earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of St. Thomas and is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive status). |
