Jeff is a lifelong resident of Austin and received both his B.B.A. and his M.B.A. from the University of Texas. He began his career in the banking industry with Texas Commerce Bank and then went on to serve as Executive Vice President at Allied Bank North Austin (later known as First Interstate Bank of North Austin). Jeff eventually held the titles of COO and President before the statewide merger of all First Interstate Banks after which he managed the corporate and commercial lending division in central Texas.
His experience is not limited to bank management as he served as COO for a venture backed service company managing all day-to-day operations and proving to be instrumental in raising the company’s first two rounds of venture funding. Jeff was also a principal of a marketing services firm which he led from $2 million in annual revenue to its acquisition by a Fortune 1000 public company.
Most recently Jeff was President of a sales lead generation and management firm successfully engineering its financial turnaround and eventually selling its largest division to a Fortune 500 company. Jeff is also an active civic leader having served on the boards of numerous organizations including the Austin Lyric Opera Ballet Austin and the American Heart Association where he was honored with a research grant in his name. He served as campaign co-chair for the United Way in 2001 and as Vice Chair for the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce where he received the Outstanding Board Member Award in 2000. Jeff is a Trustee for the SafePlace Foundation and has served 18 years on the Board and Executive Committee for the Star of Texas Fair & Rodeo including Board President in 1994. Jeff is also a member of the Executive Council for the Texas Exes Alumni Association at the University of Texas. |
