Jeffrey L. Laytin is a partner in the Intellectual Property Group and Litigation Department of our New York office. Formerly a partner with Salans, Mr. Laytin practices in the field of domestic and global intellectual property law, and focuses on trademarks, copyrights, licensing issues and rights of publicity. His work involves advising clients on the extent of their intellectual property rights, negotiations concerning the exercise of those rights through licensing and other means, protection of clients' rights through customized enforcement programs utilizing an international network of investigators and local counsel, and, when necessary, conducting civil litigation to protect clients' rights. Mr. Laytin's ground breaking work on behalf of the New York City Police Foundation/NYPD established his credentials as a leading practitioner in the field of Municipal Licensing. In China, Mr. Laytin's practice encompasses facilitating the organization and operation of multinational corporations (energy, entertainment, retail luxury goods, etc.), as well as the registration, protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights.
