Dr. Gilbert has extensive clinical experience with HIV drugs and is affiliated with an HIV clinic in Nigeria - which is in great need of treatment because the disease is in a state of escalation in this area of the world.
Dr. Gilbert has been a consultant to the New York State Department of Health - Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) Division for the past 13 years, and has been affiliated with the Albert Einstein College of Medicine (Bronx, NY) in various capacities including: assistant clinical professor of Medicine, assistant clinical professor of Ob/Gyn and a member of its CME Advisory Board, for over 20 years. He was Medical Director of the STD Center of Excellence at the Mt. Vernon Hospital (Mt. Vernon, NY), has worked as Physician in Charge at various clinics throughout the New York metropolitan area and, prior to this, ran an Internal Medicine private practice.
Dr. Gilbert was Medical Director for the STD Center of Excellence at Montefiore Medical Center (Bronx, NY) and has been given the prestigious designation as a World Health Organization (WHO) Expert in Human Diseases including HIV. Among his numerous accolades, Dr. Gilbert has been chosen to speak on behalf of major pharmaceutical companies such as: Pfizer and Glaxo SmithKline. |
