Jeffrey J. Stern is a Certified Public Accountant and a Director of Litigation and Valuation Services of Lazar Levine & Felix LLP. Mr. Stern specializes in litigation support services and provides forensic, consulting valuation and expert witness testimony for trial lawyers. His experience covers diversified industries such as professional service firms, construction, engineering, manufacturing and distribution.
Mr. Stern received a B.A. Degree from The City University of New York at Queens College in 1975, and has been licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in New York State since 1978.
Mr. Stern holds the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants' designation of Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV). He also holds the designation of Diplomate of the American Board of Forensic Accountants and has completed Principals of Business Valuation Examinations (parts one through four) of the American Society of Appraisers.
Prior to specializing in litigation support services, Mr. Stern was a Senior Manager of an accounting firm in charge of that firm's quality control for accounting and auditing services. In addition, he provided auditing, tax and consulting services to the firm's clients.
Mr. Stern regularly attends and participates in seminars relating to such areas as divorce taxation, quantitative analyses in litigation, fraud detection, the valuation of professional practices and family limited partnerships, and damages.
