As executive vice president, Jeff Rotsch leads the function responsible for all retail sales of General Mills consumer foods products worldwide, and is responsible for worldwide Channel Development, including oversight of the company’s Bakeries & Foodservice business.
He was named to his current position and elected executive vice president of General Mills in May 2005.
Since joining General Mills in 1974, Rotsch has held various marketing positions throughout the company, ranging from product manager in the Betty Crocker division to president of the Betty Crocker and Big G divisions. He was named to president of Consumer Foods Sales in 1997, and was elected a senior vice president of General Mills in 1993.
Rotsch holds a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Wisconsin. He was a member of the University of Wisconsin hockey team from 1968 through 1972 and was team captain and made the All American Team his senior year. The following two years, he was an assistant coach of the Wisconsin team, which won the NCAA championship in 1973. He was also a member of the 1972, 1974, and 1975 U.S. National Hockey Teams. Rotsch serves on the board for the University of Wisconsin School of Business, CASB Board of Directors and the W Club Board. In the past, he has served on the Family and Children’s Services plus Minnesota Public Radio. In November of 2004, he received the Distinguish Business Alumni Award from the University of Wisconsin. |
