Jeffrey J. Lopez is a partner in the firm’s Commercial Litigation and Intellectual Property Practice Group. His practice is concentrated in complex commercial litigation including pretrial, trial and appellate proceedings.
Litigation. Jeff’s trial experience includes cases in a variety of state and federal courts, before the American Arbitration Association and administrative tribunals. Since joining the firm in 1996, Jeff has represented a wide range of publicly and privately owned clients in matters involving intellectual property, contracts, antitrust, business torts, construction, real estate, consumer fraud, product liability and white collar crime, including defense of Qui Tam actions under the federal False Claims Act.
Professional Memberships. Jeff is a member of the American Bar Association and is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and the Commonwealth of Virginia. He is also admitted to the United States District Courts for the District of Columbia and the Eastern District of Virginia and the United States Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit.
In General. Jeff is an honors graduate of the Georgetown University Law Center and received his undergraduate degree from Santa Clara University. He is a former law clerk to the Honorable Eric T. Washington of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. Jeff served as an instructor of mock trial advocacy at Georgetown from 1995-2000. |
