Jeffrey Browne was a partner in Sullivan & Cromwell's Corporate & Finance Group from 1983 to 2005. Following six years in the New York office, he was in charge of the Firm's Australian offices in Melbourne and Sydney from 1983. Mr. Browne has wide experience in all forms of capital raisings, having been involved in the vast majority of equity and debt offerings in the U.S. market by Australian and New Zealand issuers in the past twenty years. He has also been involved in a large number of privatizations and financings by governments in the region during this period. Mr. Browne has also advised numerous clients on project financings, joint ventures and other commercial business transactions. Mr. Browne is a member of the International Trade and Business Committee of the Law Council of Australia and is a director of several companies, including the Future Fund established by the Australian Governmment, and other organizations. He is the co-author of a book on sovereign immunity and has lectured frequently on U.S. securities law and capital markets subjects. |
