Dr. Alder has served as our Vice President, Drug Discovery and Evaluation since August, 2004. Previously, he served as the Senior/Executive Director of Drug Evaluation at Cubist from March 2000 until August 2004. From November 1998 to March 2000, Dr. Alder served as Senior Director, Pharmacology & New Lead Development at Scriptgen Pharmaceuticals, where he was responsible for investigations to evaluate anti-infective and anti-cancer therapeutics, which inhibit gene expression. From August 1990 to October 1998, he served as Scientist/Senior Group Leader, Experimental Therapeutics & Pharmacology at Abbott Laboratories. His Post Doctoral work was at the University of Wisconsin, Medical Microbiology, State Lab of Hygiene. Mr. Alder has authored more than 50 peer-reviewed scientific articles in the area of bacterial, viral, fungal, and cancer therapeutics, and evaluated more than 15 different therapeutics that advanced into clinical trials. He received his B.S. in Microbiology and his Ph.D. from The Ohio State University |
