Jeffrey B. Weeden joined KeyCorp as chief financial officer on September 30 2002. With assets of more than $94 billion Key is among the nation's largest bank-based financial services companies. Jeff oversees Accounting Treasury Planning and Forecasting Investor Relations Corporate Development Strategic Planning and line of business finance.
Weeden was most recently president and CEO of MFN Financial Corporation a national consumer finance company based in Lake Forest IL. Prior to assuming the CEO role Weeden was CFO and instrumental in rehabilitating the company before it merged with Consumer Portfolio Services Inc. in March 2002.
Prior to joining MFN Financial he was senior vice president and chief financial officer of Firstar Corporation a Milwaukee-based bank holding company. At Firstar Weeden was involved in the bank's merger and acquisition activities including the merger of Star Banc Corporation with Firstar. He also completed a number of initiatives that improved the efficiency and effectiveness of the bank's financial and accounting functions.
Weeden holds a bachelor's degree in accounting and economics from Iowa State University. He is a member of the Financial Services Roundtable and the board of the Great Lakes Science Center. |
