Jeffrey A. Sirot is an associate of the firm in its Litigation Department and Planned Real Estate Practice Group. Mr. Sirot concentrates on community association law and provides numerous homeowners associations, condominium associations, and cooperatives with a full range of legal advice and services. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Sirot served as an intern with the Honorable Ronald J. Hedges, United States Magistrate Judge. Mr. Sirot has extensive experience in the interpretation of master deed and by-law provisions, preparation of amendments to governing documents, drafting and negotiation of service contracts, promulgation of rules and regulations together with a significant involvement with alternative dispute resolution (ADR) procedures and other matters necessary for the proper legal administration of a community association. Moreover, Mr. Sirot’s litigation background is ideally suited to the prosecution of construction defect lawsuits and other litigation matters on behalf of community associations, including the aggressive pursuit of delinquent assessments. Mr. Sirot also has substantial experience representing individuals and businesses in all aspects of civil litigation, including corporate and partnership disputes and trial practice. Mr. Sirot is a graduate, magna cum laude, of Rutgers University, where he was inducted into the Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society. He received his law degree from Rutgers University School of Law, where he served as editor-in-chief of the Rutgers Law Record. Mr. Sirot serves as chair of the Young Lawyers Section of the Essex County Bar Association and is a member of the New Jersey chapter of the Community Association Institute.He is admitted to practice in New Jersey, New York, and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. |
