Dr. McKinney leads Altairnano’s patent and intellectual property development. Prior to joining Altair, Dr. McKinney was Special Counsel at Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton LLP, where he was a key member of the firm's Life Science Steering Committee. During his career, Mr. McKinney lead West Coast nanotechnology and pharmaceutical business development as Counsel at Burnes Doane Swecker & Mathis LLP. Dr. McKinney gained in-house experience as Intellectual Property Counsel at Alexza Pharmaceuticals, a public medical device company. Dr. McKinney is a graduate of Stanford Law School, holds a Ph.D. in chemistry from The Ohio State University and was an NIH Postdoctoral Fellow at Stanford University. |
