Jeffrey Lehrer focuses his practice on all areas of labor and employment law, assisting and representing employers in discrimination, harassment, contract, non-compete, trade secrets and employee leave issues. While Jeffrey primarily defends employers in these matters, he has experience in initiating lawsuits on behalf of employers to enforce non-compete agreements and to protect against and recover for misappropriations of trade secrets.
He is a member of the of the South Carolina and American Bar Associations. He is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Jeffrey has extensive experience representing employers in litigation in state and federal courts in South Carolina. He has also assisted in representing employers in litigation in state and federal courts in North Carolina.
During law school, Jeffrey received the Irving Steinberg Award and CALI Award in Workers' Compensation. The Irving Steinberg award honors the memory of Mr. Irving Steinberg, a native of Charleston, South Carolina, who graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law with honors, was instrumental in the passage of the South Carolina Workers' Compensation Act in 1936, practiced in that field for 55 years, and died in 1980. CALI awards a certificate to the student who earns the highest grade in each section of a law school course.
