Jeffrey A. Jung is a partner in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP based in the Firm’s Chicago office. He is a member of the Firm’s Corporate Department, and has been a partner of the Firm since 1995. Jeffrey is a member of the Finance Practice Group, concentrating in secured lending (representing borrowers and lenders), asset securitization and structured finance transactions. He has represented private and public corporations, financial institutions and investment banks in a wide variety of securities, finance and general corporate matters.
In particular, Jeffrey represents borrowers in a wide variety of circumstances, including as originators of financial assets and as borrowers under asset based and cash flow models, in acquisition facilities and under mezzanine and subordinated structures. In addition, he represents credit enhancers and investors in securitization portfolios as well as participants in cross-border tax advantaged investments. He also represents lenders in secured financings in a variety of industries, with particular emphasis on international telecommunications vendor financing techniques. His work for many banking clients includes handling term loans, revolving credit facilities and letters of credit. He also represents secured creditors and distressed borrowers in workouts or bankruptcy reorganizations.

Representation of a significant vendor financier in transactions involving Germany, Brazil, Canada, Mexico, Peru and the Philippines
Representing the United States corporate counterparties in tax advantaged financings with New Zealand, Australian, English, Dutch and Bermudan counterparties
Acting as restructuring counsel for a number of mid-sized asset based credits
Serving as borrower counsel in successive senior lending facilities and restructuring of the same
Addressing enforceability issues as part of the Firm's opinion committee in light of the accounting reasonable assurances sought in connection with traditional (true sale and non-consolidation) and non-traditional (set-off and extinguishment) structured finance issues.
