Experience:
Jeff has focused on appellate and Supreme Court litigation since joining Mayer Brown in September 2004. He has written and participated in the drafting of numerous appellate briefs in state and federal court, including merits and amicus briefs, certiorari petitions, and certiorari oppositions filed with the United States Supreme Court. He has argued appeals and motions in state and federal court, including the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. Jeff has also written many summary judgment, dismissal, class certification, and other briefs for clients involved in state and federal litigation. While his primary areas of specialty include securities law, consumer credit law, civil procedure, appellate procedure, jurisdiction, state and federal constitutional law, and class action defense, Jeff also has experience in auditor liability, antitrust law, hedge fund liability, insurance law, and telecommunications law.
