Jeff Whitesell joined Synectics in 1977 as a systems designer and task leader on a contract with the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). He held increasingly responsible roles on subsequent contracts at HHS and to this day, in his role as General Manager, provides oversight on contracts with the agency. He served as Assistant General Manager from 1984 until assuming the position of General Manager in January 1992. Mr. Whitesell is deeply committed to pursuing prudent growth and development of the company. He exercises full authority over Washington operations and provides management support for Synectics’ contracts. The fact that he has solid experience in project management, as well as a strong background in analysis, design, and programming, gives him an excellent perspective on contract management. He works equally well with managers, end users, and technical personnel. Mr. Whitesell is responsible for all operations including contract agreements, financial and administrative management, and business development. He has full authority to bind the company to agreements and contracts. He provides direction for professional and support staff and management support for Synectics’ contracts, maintaining close contact with team leaders and providing liaison with contract officials representing government or business. Mr. Whitesell has ultimate responsibility for contract work. Mr. Whitesell has a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from the University of Connecticut. He has done graduate studies in Economics and Computer Science and regularly attends professional and technical seminars and training programs. |
