Jeff Sterba is Chairman, President and CEO of PNM Resources, the parent company of PNM, Texas-New Mexico Power, First Choice Power and Avistar.
Sterba first joined PNM in 1977. He left in 1998 to become Executive Vice President of USEC, a global energy company headquartered in Maryland, but returned to PNM as CEO in 2000. He is Chair of both Edison Electric Institute and Electric Power Research Institute. He is on the board of directors for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and actively involved in New Mexico‘s community and economic development efforts.
In early 2007, PNM Resources joined with a subsidiary of Cascade Investment, LLC, the personal investment vehicle for Microsoft founder Bill Gates, to form an unregulated energy company that will focus on strategic growth opportunities in unregulated energy markets in Texas, the Southwest and elsewhere.
